Product Page Design That Sells: 12 Elements for Shopify Stores in the Gulf

How to design a Shopify product page that turns visitors into buyers in the UAE and the Gulf, covering photos, price, instalments, delivery, sizing, reviews and a mobile buy button.

Updated: · 3 min read

Short answer: the product page decides the sale. A page that sells in the Gulf shows above the fold on mobile: clear real photos, the name, the price in AED, the instalment message (Tabby and Tamara), the delivery date and a sticky Add to cart button. Below that: the description, sizing, reviews, return policy and FAQs.

12 elements of a product page that sells

1. Clear, real photos

  • At least 4–8 photos: the product alone, in use, and close-up details.
  • A short video builds trust, especially for fashion and perfume.
  • A consistent background across all products.

2. A clear name

A name customers understand and search for: "Cambodian oud oil 12 ml" beats "Royal Collection No. 7".

3. A clear price

In AED, VAT-inclusive, with the old price if there's a genuine discount.

4. The instalment message

Right under the price: "Or 4 payments of AED 75 with Tabby". See Tabby and Tamara on Shopify.

5. The delivery date

"Delivered tomorrow in Dubai if you order before 2 pm". That sentence alone lifts conversion.

6. Easy variant selection

Buttons for sizes and colours instead of dropdowns, with unavailable sizes clearly marked.

7. A sticky Add to cart button on mobile

A button that stays visible at the bottom of the screen as shoppers scroll.

8. A description that answers questions

Not the supplier's text. Write what the product is, who it's for, how to use it, what makes it different, and its ingredients or materials, in short paragraphs.

9. A size guide

Essential for fashion and abayas. A simple table in centimetres, plus advice such as "between sizes? choose the larger".

10. Reviews

Genuine reviews, with customer photos where possible. Arabic reviews carry more weight with Gulf shoppers.

11. Returns and warranty

A clear line near the buy button: "Free returns within … days". See returns policy for UAE online stores.

12. FAQs and a WhatsApp button

3–5 recurring questions about the product, plus a WhatsApp button for anything else. See WhatsApp marketing.

Mistakes that kill conversion

  • Supplier photos duplicated across many sites.
  • A price that changes at checkout (surprise tax or shipping).
  • No delivery information at all.
  • English descriptions on the Arabic version.
  • A slow page due to heavy images and too many apps. See Shopify store speed.

Product pages and SEO

A product page ranks in Google when it has an SEO title with the product name, an original description, image alt text, reviews and Product structured data. See Shopify SEO in Arabic.

FAQ

How many photos should a product have?

At least 4–8, with a short video if possible.

Is a longer description better?

The best description answers every customer question in short paragraphs and bullet points. Length alone isn't the measure.

Should instalments show on the product page or only at checkout?

On the product page. That's where the buying decision happens.
